You'd think a "King" could afford matching tires, or at least better tires. Looking at the front right, looks like they were double whites.

Meanwhile equipped with appropriate tires. The headlamps are painted. Don't know if this complies to its original condition. Older pictures show chromed lamps, which were available on demand.

Are we sure it's a 37 and not a 36? I understand it's a custom build but would they go thru the trouble to turn the doors into suicide doors?

It's a 1937, lots of indicators, for example the front bumper which is the type adopted when they went to independent front suspension on the senior cars (1937).
Switching the door hinging makes sense if the purchaser wanted to spend his money for that feature. Such can be the joy of having the $ to order custom coachwork.
