A welcoming enthusiastic V-8 Packardman. He was always willing to help others. He was never found short promoting packardinfo.com and the Packard marque. He'll be missed.

Wow! a double-dose of unwelcome news. I hadn't known Ole Book was no longer with us until I read this about Randy Berger. Two of the best gone from the family.

Very sad news indeed. Randy has been with the website since the very beginning and I meet him online at AACA before then. I only had the pleasure of his company one time when we were both at the Packard Museum show in Warren many moons ago. God speed my friend. Hopefully he is conducting his model trains in a better place.

So sad to hear of his passing. He was so helpful and when I first got my Packard in the 2000, he was very encouraging on another message board. He explained to me how the locking torque converter worked on my '55. He was a gentlemen and the knowledge he had on Packards was immense. I always got a kick out his love of trains. A kind soul.
Tough loss for the packardinfo crowd. Very active. I found a picture he sent to me in an email way back in October of 2000. RIP

Just one more reason to skip the rest of year 2020 and go straight to 2021. Depressing news.

Thinking back on our very recent loss of both Ole Book and Randy Berger, I came across this photo taken on the Henry Joy III Tour as we lined up for our laps at Watkins Glen racetrack. A wonderful tour, great friends! Photo by this writer.
