I seem to recall seeing an article on adjustment of the two springs in the air valve of the Packard carburetor. Doe anyone recall where I might find how to do the adjustment? This is the carburetor made by Detroit Lubricator, but badged Packard on the float chamber cover.

Thanks,

Jim (jimw), -> this way, please.
Edit, sorry, you said "Detroit Lubricator". Instructions on adjusting the Model 51 Carb can be found -> here and -> there.

The article you probably recall is in the owner's handbook, attached are the relevant pages. There is a copy of this very useful handbook for sale on ebay now, search on "1929 Packard owners Manual"

Does anybody know the opening of the inside of the fuel venturi(jet?) It appears my 1928 has the same carb and venturi is partially gummed up.

Thanks
Gar
