Figure this must be a custom body with the marvelous design of the back end being different than most. Hope someone has seen it, knows what and where it is.

Has Maine plates. Maybe it was a European import that made its way back home? Chromed headlamps on post '34 Packards were popular across the pond. The fender lamps are unusual as well.

Generally known as the "Car of the Dome" from it's location at that World's Fair. Built as a 10th Series (1933), the 1934 front fenders came in an factory update. A well-known Packard, plenty of published history on it, try the Kimes-edited book for a starter. It made the rounds in 1999 of the various Packard centennial celebrations. Coachwork by Dietrich.

There were four built. Three are known to exist.

At the Burn Foundation Concours, Lehigh University (PA) for the 1999 Packard Centennial celebration. This was prior to the car's restoration.

At the Magnum Opus during the 1999 Packard Centennial in Warren, Ohio.

I believe that the other cars (based on this one) had the spare tires mounted in the front fender wells.

Here it is in the 1950's before the experts decided it needed a restoration and color change. Damn those Packard managers and their poor tastes.
