Hi,

I am not an expert, but the 120 has the Packard Saf-T-Flex front suspension. There are a number of service letters/counselors which detail this:

look for "Saf T Flex". Here are the most relevant but you can do your own search as well on this website.

Service Letter 10, No. 19 - Saf T Flex Camber Adjustment

Service Letter 11, No. 2, Correction, Saf T Flex Camber Adjustment

Thank you for the invite to put my car in the Packard registry but i would rather not , i am custom building the car to make it a lead sled style of car including a top chop and custom body mods , it will keep the original running gear , i build custom cars and this one is just for me

Custom or Original, its your car, so there is no judgment from most of us on this website. If you have any ANY questions, this is the place, at least for the Packard portion of your build. Heck, the webmaster himself has a 37 with a Jag motor in it. No shame here.
That said, if you want something custom, I can provide a vintage Edmunds twin carb manifold. Alternately, there is another forum member who has installed fuel injection on his 37-120 and just raves and raves about how the performance has improved.

Welcome to Packardinfo.

As David said everyone is welcome.

We like to have the cars in the registry some have a record of what happened to a car via its Vehicle Number. So later, if someone pops up in here looking for their grandfather's packard and knows the Vehicle Number, we can at least know what happened to it.

So we even put junked and crushed cars in the registry. Since the Packard factory records really don't exist, this is all we have to track cars, besides the roster keepers at the Packard clubs.

I second DAF's and BigKev's comments. Although the vast majority of Forum Members here prefer originality, the Website caters for "modified" Packards too. The Modification Discussion Forum or, if you prefer, the Project Blogs Forum would provide a good platform on which to detail your project as work on it progresses.

My invitation to include your '36 120 Sports Coupe in the Packard Vehicle Registry stands.
