This 1941 120 Convertible Sedan just sold a few minutes ago for $49,500. Think that is a really low price. Would have expected considerably more.
mecum.com/lots/HA0423-558843/1941-packard-120-convertible-sedan/ This streetrod, which appears to be based on a 1937 115C Touring Sedan, sold for $71,500. Go figure. mecum.com/lots/HA0423-551263/1937-packard-street-rod/

Some folks like antique cars, and some folks prefer "hoopies".

Come on, everyone knows cars with less than 300HP are IMPOSSIBLE to drive in modern traffic, and completely unfun. Don't forget that rough-shifting clutch-burning manual transmission. May as well drive a tractor around!
By the way, welcome to the forum, TxGoat.

49,500 for a restored prewar convertible.
Wow. How the mighty have fallen.

The demographic that likes the original, restored pre-war car is dying.
The hot rod demographic is dying too, just a little slower. If you look at the prices of Model A's, T's and '30's Fords, those have undergone the same price collapse in the past ten years.

And likely with more to follow.
There are a couple which I hope to catch when they fall.

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

This 1940 110 Station Wagon just brought a high bid of $85,000 but was a no sale as reserve was not met. This was the last Packard to cross the block today.

Since I owned three 1940 110s, I can’t help but comment that the woodie is a later chassis with the flat-ended bumpers and small Packard grille design emblem on the rear door. When I looked to see if it had early or later hub covers, I was surprised to see that it has the 1941 type! Seeing one anomaly such as that makes me wonder how many others are hidden away.
