No, their were only a handful of different dash colors compared to exterior colors and they were not the same.
Generally there was black, bluish gray, green and red.

As Kev said, there were 4 basic dash colors to go with the various paint combinations and an additional 3 that were used on models which had special exterior paint colors not typically used on the rest of the cars. If you want to check out page XV and XVII in the introduction section of the 48-54 parts manual the first is a list of the 26th series paint reference color codes and on the other page, paint numbers for colors used on dashes.
Unfortunately the list does not specify which dash color was used with a particular outer color but I believe they tried to pick the best combination with dash color leaning more toward working better with interior upholstery than exterior colors..
