Carburetor linkage troubleshooting 6 cyl

Good Day,
I am working to connect the gas pedal linkage to a carburetor.

The existing carburetor that is on the car now has the linkage facing towards the passenger side of the car.

I'm trying to verify if maybe the carburetor installed is the wrong carburetor.

Does the original setup have the carburetor linkage facing towards the firewall?

Oh, the one with the screen capture. The year and model should have been in the question, I think.

It is a 1941 sedan

On the pictures that I have found I have seen that the carburetor throttle linkage is facing the firewall.

The carburetor that I have installed on the car now the linkage is facing towards the passenger firewall

I am going to upload a picture to show what I'm talking about

In the picture I painted the linkage green that's coming from the gas pedal off the firewall.

I put a red arrow on the carburetor the carburetor butterfly gets pushed up

There is supposed to be a bell crank attached to the pin sticking from the manifold which transfers the front to back motion to vertical motion and another linkage connected from it to the carburetor.

As for whether it's the correct carburetor, you can look up the carburetor in the parts book which should answer that. It LOOKS like it but there were variations used on other makes and models so impossible to tell from the photo.

UPDATE: I could not find a photo anywhere and Clipper is apparently different. Also different is ElectroMatic Clutch but your car does not appear to have that option. As for the bell crank and linkage, I likely have it at my shop but unfortunately it is hundreds of miles away at the moment so I can't help. Try Tucson Packards as they have several 1941 parts cars and tons of parts.
