The Seventh-Eighth-Ninth Series Parts List (available here in the Literature Archive,) lists disc wheels for the Ninth Series on page 144 but they do not mention chromium plate like the wire wheels do. This would lead me to believe that chromed disc wheels were not an option on 1932 Packards.

Were covers to give the appearance of disc wheels ever offered? (Might be a lot easier to clean)

I don't know the correct answer to the original question, but in looking at the lovely piece of Packard advertising artwork that Richard Lambert has provided, we need to remember that display chassis prepared for showrooms were generally "dressed up" for eye appeal and could contain features not available on regular production.

Dave,
It has been said that my 32 Victoria came out of the factory with these chrome wheels and it is documented but I have not found proof of it. Just like my 30 Speedster you could order any option you wanted so why not chrome disc wheels. Richard Attach file: IMG_0479.jpeg (1,022.90 KB)

Interesting thread and from what I gathered in reading the various comment, the answer is no, it was not an option but just about anything could be done on special order.
