I am not sure. I had mine done by KM Lifestyle and it had the female fitting on it when they sent it back.
That said, the line was new that I attached to it and there I used a compression fitting. I expect you can do the same with the female fitting on the sender units line too. I did a 'belt & suspenders' thing too, with the tank being coated I did not count on the tanks body being able to carry the ground, so I added a ground strap to the sender unit and connected it to the frame once installed. All works well. Bob J.

47 has a soldered on brass block fitting at the front. I believe that one used silver solder. Came off easily enough using a propane torch and with new cupro-nickel fuel tubing, with the copper content in the tube was able to silver solder fitting back on without difficulty. If you are using a new steel tube I don't think anything special would be required to resolder the fitting other than maybe be sure to use a compatible flux.

Wondering if you can just put a flare nut fitting over the tube and then just flair the tubing?

So I am going to remove the fitting from the old and then solder onto the new one. Think that’s the easiest route.
That’s the next thing I need to solve before I can finish up the gas tank and then move to the exhaust. So moved onto to some other things. Put the grommet and hose connector to the tank. Cleaned up 86 years of gunk from the rear shocks/springs. Painted the toe board Removed the headlights but had to spray special sauce on the nuts to get the stanchions removed. Time for dinner

You want to some insulation around the edges of the toe board before reinstalling. I uses a heat high rated self adhesive type strip insulation.

Today I tackled the heater. Broke it down to the parts and painted. Going to need to look into the wiring to see where it hooks up too. I still have the wires from the heater so I have the starting point.
Got the headlight stanchions removed. Probably easier to remove when the car is jacked and tires removed. Found out as well that I indeed do have sealed beams. Called YnZ and they are shipping the adaptors. Couple of questions on other items: 1. The front seat floor board. Is this just a 3/4” plywood. And the. Use the heat resistant tape as BigKev suggested for the toe Board? 2. I have this switch but when I removed it was not hooked into anything so I am not sure what it is for? It is the switch all the way to the right on the dash picture down left from the cigar lighter. And second picture is a close up of the switch. Thanks in advance!

That looks like a heater switch.
That fiber insulation was what was originally used on the floorboard and toeboard. Most of the time it has rotted away.
