Pretty, and I bet it's fun to park: The 1940 looks nice and not far from my shop but I would almost bet it's a long wheelbase sedan rather than a limousine! Anyway, it is indeed long but not nearly as long as the 160" Henney-Packard that I once owned. It was like trying to park a yacht UPDATE: The 1940 in Ashland, Oregon is NOT a limousine as I suspected. It is an 1805 which is a 160 and it has body 1371 which is the long wheelbase sedan. The seller tried to tell me that the 1805 was the sedan while the 1808 was the limousine which isn't true at all as those are the chassis numbers! The 1805 was a 160 and the 1808 a 180 and both had both body types with the 1808 adding the Rollson town car as a third option.

Just posted today. Probably the rustiest Packard I have ever seen someone trying to sell. Almost nothing useable left and I'm not sure what anyone could do with this. Maybe use it as a lawn ornament? It is a 1938 120 Coupe. Sad. I really like these cars. Seller wants $500. It is located in South Carolina.

More slim CL pickings:
A '37 120 convertible coupe, very nice condition and very pricey: spokane.craigslist.org/cto/d/spokane-193 ... ard-120-convertible/7763013529.html A '40 120 sedan, "Last driven in 1983" project: stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/d/cedar-hill- ... -model-120-for-sale/7768024220.html A '41 120 sedan, offered a long time, always the same price: newhaven.craigslist.org/cto/d/wallingfor ... 1-packard-120-sedan/7762178350.html The '48 Custom Eight convertible from the Abelove auctions, major project: syracuse.craigslist.org/cto/d/syracuse-1 ... ackard-custom-eight/7768129332.html Just an observation, Craigslist charges $5 a month for their automotive listings which include all the description the seller cares to give plus up to 24 photos and anyone can access the contact information. Contrast that to Fb Marketplace which is free but apparently limits the text accompanied by only 10 photos maximum and one has to be signed onto Facebook to access contact information plus be 'data mined' in exchange. Thanks go to those who bring us Fb Marketplace listing for the Fb abstainer among us. Free, even when it isn't worth much gets them in every time. Steve

That 1941 120 in Wallingford, CT is near where I live and has been for sale for years. I was over the seller's house a number of years ago to look at another Packard he was selling. My impression was that he is never anxious to sell anything, so he is pretty hard to negotiate with. You pay what he is asking or no deal. He had several other cars for sale when I was there. Saw him again about a year ago when he stopped by to talk to me about my '39 Six at a local show and mentioned that he was selling a '41 120. I was going to go look at that '41 but decided not to bother. Judging from the photos, it is not worth what he is asking. I see quite a bit of rust and the trunk lid is smashed in. Car needs pretty much everything. This is typical of what he has for sale. The Packard I saw at his home the time I was there was a '35 or '36 120 Club Sedan and it was even worse than this '41. Think he wanted something like $10K for it. Other cars I saw for sale were stored outside and were pretty rough. Recall a '41 Olds Coupe that was pretty trashed. This guy continually buys project cars and then tries to flip them.

Problem with Facebook is many of us can only look at postings but can't message due FB bans or blocks, not necessarily related to posts. And honestly, I prefer postings on this site where I'd say most of us care as much about cars finding a good home as getting unrealistic amounts of money.

I've seen that 120 convertible around here; one of the guys down the street has a '39 120 that had the quarter windows filled in, beautiful car. Another fella south of me by a few miles has a couple / three Twelves, but he does not associate with Junior owners.
Literally. We're below him.
