1956 Packard Patrician for sale. The car has a 6.1L 374ci V8 with an ultramatic transmission.
The car is very complete. I don't believe it's missing a single piece of chrome anywhere. The interior is in excellent condition as shown in the pictures. The paint is fair with some bubbling on the lower areas of the doors. This car also has a vinyl top that is still in good condition. The previous owner installed an electric fan that can be switched on by the driver to help keep the engine temp down while cruising.
The engine starts and runs well, however the transmission has a bad leak, so it can't be driven.
I was driving it for a while. I had the oil changed, and the front brakes shoes along with the front brake cylinders replaced.
Asking $10,000 obo. for a great looking classic car that needs some tlc to make it roadworthy again.
The car will have to be towed when moved.
I'm located in Southern California, so my price is a little flexible in case someone wants the car and needs to have it transported to them.

Could you please advise when your '56 Patrician is sold so the Registry Entry can be updated?

Beautiful Patrician and my favorite year but unfortunately I don’t have room for another car. I do have a question, though, that came up with one of the parts dealers. On the rear trim panel below the trunk lid, does your car have a trim piece along the bottom behind the bumper and is there a vertical trim piece at the center behind the license plate? The parts book shows these pieces but no one has even seen a car with them.

Don, I’m not sure. When I go outside, I’ll take a peek under the car cover and see if I can take some close up pics and post them later.

By the way... the radio and knobs in this very customized 1956 Patrician appear to be from a 1956 Chevrolet. Not Packard items.

I was stating a fact but perhaps didn't reference it clearly. I was talking about our illustrious parts houses. No one recalls ever seeing these pieces even though one of them supplied me with a diagram of group numbers. I was talking about both the vertical piece and the piece across the bottom against the splash panel.
