Looking for parts to start a restoration project on my 1955 Clipper Constellation, it is an automomatic ( I know ) and its paint code is DF. Looking for places in Texas that wont cost an arm and a leg for a decent paint job as well.[PROCESSING IMAGE.... PLEASE WAIT]

G'day Vikstar2907,
to PackardInfo. Unfortunately not being anywhere near Texas I can't offer any advice regarding a painter.

Instead I invite you to include your '55 Clipper Constellation in PackardInfo's Packard Vehicle Registry,

ANY decent paint job will be expensive. Take it to Maaco and don't inspect it too hard afterwards.

Does it run yet? If so, how does it drive?

Doesn't run yet, and I plan on doing a restomod on it, modern internals and the works. I want to keep the visuals completely "factory" or as close as I can get. And on the paint job I figured that would be the consensus I was just wondering if there were any personal contacts lol.

My car was painted by Macco and even 10 years later people always comment how good the paint looks.

But I did all the body work, primer and blocking.

I took them a car as a bare shell, no interior, windows, rubber or trim.

Also, it was still $3500. But that (at the time) was their top of the line paint job. Base/Clear.

This was a Macco in Southern Calif. They did a lot of classic cars. They can spray good paint, when you pay them to do so and you take them a car that doesn't need body work or masking.
