G'day 34 1101,
to PackardInfo.

I invite you to include your '34 1101 in PackardInfo's Packard Vehicle Registry.

For what's it's worth, I used a 6V Optima battery in my Packard as did a couple of mates in their's. Plenty of oomph for cranking, including one in a pre-WW2 Senior Eight.

Although many will recommend an Optima battery, NAPA sells a conventional lead-acid 6 volt battery rated at 975 cold cranking amps. The NAPA part number is 7212. It fits neatly in the under-seat battery holder. It weighs 48 pounds and measures 9.5 inches high by 6.88 inches wide by 12.5 inches long.

34 1101, or should it be Joel Lavender?
for including your '34 Eight Touring in the Registry.

The correct size battery is a Group 4. I've used the NAPA battery mentioned previously and found them entirely satisfactory, I typically get 6 years of service from them.
