Yes, that perfectly normal. It needs the front cover on to keep the oil inside where it belongs!

Thanks guys, well yes I know its to lube the camchain, but it seems excessive. I'll leave it be then & hopefully oil pressure will rise when the engines own oil pump is turning. Will keep you posted.
