I suggest either relocating it, using a metal filter or getting one of the correct style glass filter housings. Posted on: Today 6:43

Most of us have glass bowl filters before our carburetors, and the NAPA type transparent plastic filters back near our gas tanks where we have electric fuel pumps for the sake of priming the fuel system.
