35k is an insane ask on that Caribbean. It needs fully restored. I wouldn't even value it in the five digits.

BTW I'm pretty sure they were asking only 20k before. Not sure what the trend is with projects not selling then the asking price going up...

It's been for sale for at least a couple years now, and looks like it will continue to be for a while longer...

49 in Washington state. Runs drives stops and interior is a 70's era restoration. Has moderate fuel and electrical issues. Unbeatable deal at $1100.

The '42 120 Convertible in Calif (aka "The Turk") was originally the car I was looking at before the Jackard came to me. It came out of the same estate where I pulled the Steele Rubber Horde several years ago.

Gerry at Packards Southwest owns it now and everything else that was part of that estate.

The car has a fully rebuilt and restored drive train and chassis. When I was there the body was on a dolly, restored frame and drive train were being stored in another garage. Gerry re-mated the body back to the frame so it could be moved.

Nearly everything for this car was in the garage, including fresh chrome, and perhaps redone upholstery.

If the car wasn't 2000 miles away, and not disassembled it would be in my garage now.

For those interested, these is also a '53 Mayfair that was freshly repainted, has new interior, fresh chrome, NOS glass, restored frame and fully rebuilt drivetrain (engine and transmission). But once again, fully apart. It's a rare car in Amethyst paint, with matching amethyst badging.

Amethyst because someone painted it that way. The Amethyst cars were ONLY on 1054 Pacific and nothing else.

I was also considering this car before I got the '56. In the end I decided I probably couldn't handle that big of a project right now. I would love to do it though. Much of the hard work has been done. Needs body work and paint. The interior has not been redone, but it's there for patterns. Love the history of this car.

Few new FB postings to report, but nothing really good, I'm afraid:

1948 Station Sedan. Completely trashed. All of the wood is either gone or badly rotted. Not sure what is salvageable. Ad claims front end looks good. Asking $1,200. New Jersey:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1392619448592648

1936 120 Sedan. Stripped out hulk. Parts only. Has engine, trans, frame, and body shell. Not much else. Asking $1,500. Pennsylvania:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1805347646712681

1958 Sedan. Rough from outdoor storage. Much surface rust and interior is trashed. But body panels look pretty decent, and car is complete. Asking $3,800. Ohio:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1171789681370918

1929 626 Sedan. Decent older restoration. Has Pilot Rays, disc wheels with dual mounts. Dash plaque indicates car was originally sold by the Earl C. Anthony dealership in L.A. Seller asking $18K. Florida:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1419815459213853

1938 Six Sedan. Rough parts car but complete. Seller thinks it is restorable and is asking $2,950. Texas:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1049764556768427

1940 110 Touring Sedan. Looks like an older amateur restoration. Paint looks shoddy and see more than a few dents and dings. Seller asking a very ambitious $20K. Colorado:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/731775215908769

1956 Patrician. No engine or trans, front bumper is missing. See lots of good parts though. Body looks straight. Asking $1K. Oregon:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/1149472269503762

1949 (22nd Series) Custom Eight. Solid body. Looks like somebody tried to redo the interior at some point. Not a great job, but certainly useable. Car runs and drives but would need a full cosmetic resto. Seen worse. What do you want for $1,100? Probably worth at least this much if it runs decent. Spokane, WA:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/724488539949112

1949 (22nd Series) Deluxe Eight Club Sedan. Nice restoration with a new, authentic looking interior. Someone added Custom Eight side trim to dress it up a bit. Seller asking $17K. Idaho:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/709386175043961

1955 400. Rusty parts car. Engine is out of the car. Ad states car comes with a lot of extra parts, including a new windshield. Seller asking $6k. Washington State:

I like the 1958 and would grab it if I were younger but even more importantly, I like the motor home next to it! I seem to recall seeing an article about those several years ago and only a handful were built.
