The MTB's on which my father served was larger (115')than the PT boats used by the USN. There was also smaller 72' MTB used by the RCN comparable to the PT boat which used 3 Rolls Royce or Packard engines. My fathers ship used Packard engines and he used to tell me that they were painted "Packard Detroit" on the valve covers and he always felt that they would get back safely after a mission with those engines. The Dream Rod was at the swap meet this morning. I took a few additional pictures of it and will post soon. As you can imagine the car is loud as hell with that open exhaust.
