I really got a kick from the question in the article "Can the Russians Do Better? Very probably they can." What an understatement. Two months after this article was written, the USSR launched Sputnik. I'll never forget seeing the headline on my way home from school. Only took several billion dollars and nearly a decade to catch up and finally surpass them. It was a major reality check at the time.

Eric: I am very sad that you can't translate the article. That is is why I am posting it in hopes that Guscha or Hardtop might be able to translate it.
