A needle, thread, and a piece of old blue jeans and you can make one that when painted will look authentic. The one I made 11 years ago still looks as origional.

If you don't want to go the DIY route Max does have them, probably Kanters too. Have put new ones on a '39 and a '41 in the last 18 months. Had a quick look in Max's hard-copy 2007 catalog, closest at hand, it's Group 3.125 P/N 316419 Throw Out Lever Boot. Bit of a bear to get the new one onto the wire frame.
