I'll bet that gentleman from the AACA was a very good looking fellow, too!!
Thanks for starting a restoration blog. You'll get plenty of good help here if/when needed, if/when asked.

I would like to understand more about the BTV. Does any one understand why they always continue to fail. I have on in my 56 clipper and i have not installed it in my car yet. What for replacement units can i get to use instead of the BTV that will be the same?

You're only 20 years old, and already over my head. Unless you have a Back TeleVision, I don't have a clue what you're talking about. I think I'll just stick with the prewar stuff and let the experts here carry on.
Welcome to the hobby, and nice job at the AACA Annual Meeting seminar.

Just do a search on BTV in this forum and u'll find more than u can read in a week.
Here is one: packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb ... orum=2&post_id=94526#forumpost94526 There are at least 3 different alternatives to the BTV. They are all covered here at this website. Do a search on BTV.

hey this website helps me learn. BTV means Bendex Tredel Vac. Which is the power brakes for my 56 packard. They fall often. My boss has told me this and i have read many cases in which it has happened. I will be letting other family member drive the car once it runs. i would hate myself if something would happen to them while driving the car. plus i would hate to loose brakes my self.
