A good lock smith should be able to make keys for just about anything based on the lock itself.

1. What are the chances of them having a blank to the
ignition and the spare tire locks, any experience 2. Spare tires are mounted and all you can see are the lock slots Thanks again for your help Big Kev Dave Lucas

Dave,
The spare wheel locks were originally pot metal and may therefore have swollen and be unuseable. If this is the case you can drill them out and buy new ones. I bought mine from Henry Yeska many years ago and they are available from other sources and fit a number of different cars. The ignition switch may also be pot metal, I don't know, mine was missing completely so I fitted a new ignition switch. Hopefully a locksmith can fix yours.

This is what your ignition is supposed to look like. It's actually mounted to the coil. Many unrestored cars have had their coils changed, and the ignition switched changed to something else. Is this what yours looks like?

West had a good picture of the round coil that was used for some of the 29 production year. Early cars used an oval coil which used a different switch.

Mr Peterson, thanks for the pic of what the original should look like. I will check this out this week end and see exactly what I have, it appears untouched or modified from the dash view and will post what I find. Thanks for all the help and advice.
