well i didn't figure i would find another one of these metal line holders anyway per say, so i just bought some aluminum and bent my own out. it was super easy to do. it is a bit wider, but it'll still mount. gotta drill the hole still.
the rest of the weekend was spent building my son a playset from scratch....no chinese kit here. all Texas wood and treated. will hold a hippo and his friend rhino too. Hank Attach file: (61.83 KB) (58.38 KB) (60.67 KB) (64.82 KB) (62.21 KB) (60.21 KB) (59.13 KB) (60.17 KB) (66.08 KB)

Very nice on the clamp--and playset too. If you haven't already duplicated the cushioning on the clamp, a can of black Plastidip from the hardware store does a decent job. I gave mine 2 - 3 dippings to duplicate the thickness.

yeah i have the spray version, which doesn't work that great for building up thickness fast. so i need to go back and get the canned version to dip it in.
thanks! Hank

I wasn't impressed with their sprays at all. I used the rubber version on a project and it peeled off in a nice sheet. The dip vinyl version is much better.

Hank, That post reminded me of my earlier suggestion about coating the exhaust manifolds, which was pointed out as not workable. So anyway, I'm thinking the exhaust manifolds on this engine will HAVE to look good and stay looking good to fit in with all the great detailing. I checked on exhaust manifold paint here: google.com/products?q=exhaust+manifold+paint&hl=en ...and exhaust manifold powder coating here: e-techpowdercoating.com/hot_powder_coating_applications.htm Thought these might be helpful to you. Black is the only way to go IMO, matches everything else and also sheds heat best. Take care on your trip!
