can anyone show me a pic of how the fuel line goes to the fuel pump on a 55 352. mine had some weird adapter on it and then a rubber hose.
i ordered aluminum 5/16 fuel line 25' for only 19 bucks and before i bend it up like the original i would like to know if mine was cut short and how it is really supposed to connect to the fuel pump. thanks all. Hank

Not sure if the V8 pumps hook up like the straight eight pumps, but if they do the fuel hard line should terminate at a clip attached to the the frame (similar to a brake line), and then there is rubber hose flex line with fitted connectors that attaches between the hardline and the pump (looks similar to a brake hose).
I have seen cases were people have just used regular fuel line hose and barbed fittings. But that is not correct. Here is the correct hose from the Max Merritt website:

that's kinda what they did to mine. it was just terminated alittle from the frame and then they had some adapter on it for hose to slip over and you had to use a hose clamp. i knew it wasn't right cause it looked fairly new and it had some yellow plastic ring on it.
when i make the hard line i just didn't want to take the chance that they didn't cut the line too and remake the end. it sounds like they just put an adapter on the end to fit a barbed hose end on it, so i should be able to make the new line just like the old one and then get this hose from Max and be all smiles. ;0) thanks Kev for the input. ;0)

Fuel pump inlet lines made with modern fuel injection hose compatible with all current fuels and with correct end fittings are also available for most all model Packards 1935 and up including ambulance and commercial chassis from PAC's Niagara region, $20 + $3 postage.

Routing is exactly as KevinAZ shows except if you decide to use the factory type hose, there has to be a 5/16 inverted flare nut installed on the steel pipe. The hose assy screws into pump, and then the nut is turned into the hose to complete the install.
