So you can tell by how many times I post I've a long list of things to do with my Packard, I'm trying to find out what knob/switch went on the passenger B pillar. I believe it to be the interior light switch but I could be wrong. The switch base is intact but sadly the knob is broke off. Does anyone have a picture of this unit and or know where I can get one?

To the best of my memory the interior light switcfh is usually on the drivers B pillar so he/she can reach it.
It woud be a small rectangular slide switch wih a tiny rectangular sliding black plastic "thing" NOt a knob as i does not turn or pull, smaller thatn 1/4 x 1/4.

If your car is right hand drive, then might expect it to be on right side??

Whom ever owned mine didn't do a lot of things right so I'd expect it to be on the wrong side lol...I take it no one makes them... well hmmm what about vases did packards ever have them?

I have to disagree with Fred. I think they are normally on the passenger side (curb side). The driver really doesn't need to have to turn on that light, plus, in my opinion, it would be easier for him to reach over than it would be to contort around over his left shoulder. I think the only cars that have them on the driver's side are limousines, when there would be a switch on both sides. One for the overhead, the other for the two lights in the quarters behind the back seat.

I have one on the passenger side B-pillar. My camera battery went dead, so I'll post a photo later.

Vases are an accessory. Packard had them. Don't know if they had them as late as 1941, though.

I agree, West. Interior switch for the ceiling dome light in all cases where I've taken note where there is only a single manual switch is on the right (passenger side). I'd suspect the origins of this related to chauffeur-driven vehicles; when the rear door was opened to let passengers in at curbside, the switch was convenient at that location. This might have been more relevant in the 30s when the door-actuated switch for the dome light was only funtional when the parking or headlights were on.

Even on my lowly '54 Clipper.... it has the dome light switch only on the Passenger side B-Pillar.

Remember that a "lowly Clipper" is still a Packard.

Are you using your 120 for livery service? If so, what is the name of your business? It seems like we're very often being asked who is offering "classic" cars for weddings, etc.

I have a bunch of american vintage cars I use for weddings and vintage picnic's, the driver shows up in a top hat.. tails tuxedo.. white gloves very elegant... Don't forget the big band music playing in the background. I take joy in watching peoples faces as a 1941 Packard shows up... It's really a blessing to be able to let others experience what a joy it is to be in one of these cars.
