Gerd, it is a weekly radio show on National Public Radio by Garrison Keillor and a cast of radio actors and sound effect people; Keillor has been called the modern Will Rogers, a mix of old-time story telling and local music and comedy sketches... I believe there are entire episodes you can watch on the web. Much of the humor is somewhat colloquial, so some of it's meaning may not be readily appparent... but being a Minnesotan, he makes fun frequently of upper-MidWesterners and their foibles.

Excellent! I'll be out of range of our local not station, but I can catch it on sirius. I still catch PHC from time to time, but listened every week when I was a kid. We lived in Duluth, MN so it always made sense to me. Congrats!

You're welcome Gerd!

John, that was really awesome - you really got to show off your great talent, after the intermission, and that amazing organ!! And the sing along was so fun! It's amazing, the folks who are on here! Packard class will out, even after 54 years! Well done, sir!!!!!!!!

John,

Sorry I missed it, something about time and distance interfering, but when is your concert tour down-under? Could be a chance there.

John, enjoyed the show. I've seen the PHC show several times over the years here in NC.
One of my favorite PHC episode's involved a Parade and a 37 Chevy septic tank. Wish I could find a link.

Hi John

Wonderful performance!!!! I got a big charge out of when you exampled the music accompanyment for the silent films.

I was singing along with everyone too. What a prefect instrument the theatre organ is to get those of us with....uh....less than great voices...to sing out in good fun!

Wish you could have had more time to do additional numbers, hopefully Garrison will have you guest star again when they appear at a facility with a theatre organ. If he does, maybe you can get him to add Packard as a 'sponsor'.

Hearing you play makes me envious, must be a marvelous kick to be so talented and skillful with such a difficult instrument. So glad you share this gift with all of us.

In the words of Lawrence Welk "A wunnerful, A wunnerful!!!! John!"

Steve
