Head is painted, and I removed the seats.

I decided today was a good day to remove the seats to have them rebuilt. Removing the front passenger was an adventure. The head is painted and I will let it cure a few days before I install it.

Those seats still look really good.

The seat covers are not changing. I am going to have the springs re-tied and new foam installed. The front seats are like sitting in a hole, and all the seats are very lumpy.

I'd expect that the seats were originally padded with horse hair, not foam, at least that is the case with 1934 and earlier. Horse hair is longer-lasting than most foams and gives an excellent seat cushion.

I chased all the head stud threads today. I hope to have the engine back up and running this coming weekend. If all goes well I will only be waiting a few weeks to get the seats back into the car.

I have a friend coming tomorrow to help me lift the head on.The old head is on the right, it will make a nice wall hanging. I have the Cormorant back from the plater. I assembled it and have it back on the car. The seat rebuild is well under way.

Just a tap on the shoulder to remind you of O_D's advice in post #18. Looks like it hasn't been done yet based on today's picture. He gave you excellent advice; ask me how I know.

Following up on the previous posting: The water outlet flange also looks like it could use a little attention. The rough surface might not seal.
