It might have been Flamingo but the current shade is waaaaaay off. The rear seat is quite correct, and just for reference is the same as was in the Clipper Custom.

Here is a shot of a 56 Super to give you an idea of the color; as you can see from the jambs it was a very soft pink.

Hi

More pre-war:

A '36 120 convertible coupe, looks like a sweetheart:
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/d/1936-packard-120-convertible/6446060632.html

A '41 160 touring sedan, side-mounts, ready to proudly enjoy:
https://goldcountry.craigslist.org/cto/d/packard-1941-third-owner/6468753503.html

A '41 110 sedan, ambitious project or parts car, cheap:
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/d/1941-packard/6477363177.html

Steve

And for fun, CL advertisers do their best to inform about the history of the car, a '50 Eight, project, pricy:

"...this is a classic car keep in mind not that many were made due to the depression-era and at that time frame the middle was very valuable and being used to build tanks for the war or will 2 and Korean War I am willing to negotiate on price!" Huh?

This 38 six has been posted here a few times already and the price has been coming down. My neighbor fell in love with my Packards and is thinking about getting 1. Has anybody seen this car in person?

Hi BDC

While I don't know that specific '38 Six, if he should decide to check it out in person, here are other prospects in the region to investigate. Places are closer together in New England than Texas, making it a bit easier.

A '40 110 coupe, partially completed project:
https://newhaven.craigslist.org/cto/d/packard/6466522978.html

A '38 Eight sedan, looks ready to enjoy:
https://providence.craigslist.org/cto/d/1938-packard-touring-sedan/6467747330.html

A '39 120 sedan, also ready to enjoy:
https://nh.craigslist.org/cto/d/1939-packard-model-1701/6480210785.html

Hope he decides to go with Packard!

Steve

And one more, just because its a gorgeous '54 Convertible:

This being advertised as a prototype. To my surprise in 39 there was not a junior club sedan available but I call this guys bluff on the prototype part. I'd like to see what the factory plate says:

The '40 Coupe looks like it is on its way to becoming a very nice car. finishing the paintwork, plus Interior, rubber and chrome could exhaust the budget and available time though....

Has previously been briefly discusssed in this thread on the AACA Website. Includes a link to an eBay listing where it peaked at $5.5K in the bidding.

BDC,

Thanks for the heads up on the Registry entry. I've sent the owner a PM so hopefully I'll be advised when its sold. I can then update the entry.

It's also For Sale on the AACA Website in this thread.
