Swapped out the bumperettes in the rear from the standard ones to these trunk rack style ones.

The trunk rack would hit the standard bumperettes in the down position.

I need to replace the bolts with shorter ones as the standard bolts are too long. I've temporarily shimmed them with extra washers.

I was going to order the new reflectors from Restoration Specialties which uses a modern h4 light bulb and and parking light/turn signal socket. But they are no longer providing those.

My reflectors had already been converted to H4 lights in the past, but still had just the single contact parking light socket.

So I order this park/turn signal conversion kit from CW Moss. Costs about $25. Comes with the dual filament sockets, wiring and amber bulbs.

I removed the old socket and had to increase the hole in the reflectors to 3/4". The new socket goes in and I bent over all the tabs to secure. Need to just finish running the wiring up to the buckets as I previously had not ran the turn signal wire there.

I am curious with having the orange bulb if the turn signals will be visible with the headlights on. I imagine with a clear bulb they would not show very well if at all.

I'm sure one headlight will go from white/yellow to more of an orange hue when it's blinking. It's more for day time driving when the car is most likely to be out.

But the reflectors that used to be available are setup the exact same way.

Yes they are Kev. I thought I would also affirm that they each have their own ground wire too running from each socket. I doubt that they would not easily ground through the lens, but the gasket may insulate them so they went 'belt & suspenders" on it.

Yes, the new sockets have a ground wire soldered to them. I've tied that into the headlight ground.
