John,
No need to be quiet, rather its for spreading the word about the Packards and the other cars in the wrecking yard. By getting the word out, it at least gives others a chance to save something be it parts or a whole car from the crusher. Without it their fate could well be sealed. Again, keep up the good work.

Thanks,
By July / August will checkout a few other yards that are off the beaten path or currently closed. Until Steve bought Elm it was effectly out of business, now it is a real find.
Working on another yard with a 42 plymouth and 42 chevy only 1 Packard, to rusty to find much. Will forward when i have the info.
Spent my youth on these roads looking for cars and parts, so we will see Maybe we will have some luck.

What year and for what model?
The yard has front fenders/chrome for a 1951-?, 200, good condition.
Another yard has front fenders/chrome for a standard 8, 1948-50, fair condition.
Would any of these be of use to you?
John

I'm sorry I'm still new to packards I was a ford/mercury guy but i fell in love with this 53. Will that fender fit? No right? My model is an individual? I have lost all motivation since the crash in her. The brakes have a problem and the trans has something sticking and making the car die when it's put in gear :(

Know the feeling about losing motivation but hang in there. Those are really decent cars when all is sorted out.

All 51-4 front fenders will interchange if someone has or you come across one from a different year. In all probability with a different year though, you will have to fill old and drill new holes for the chrome strips.

Packard eventually only stocked two replacement fenders -- a right and a left as detailed in SC Vol 28 #3. A chart was prepared for body shops to drill in the appropriate locations.

Pre 51 and 55-6 fenders will not fit.
