Another 47 topic!

I'm looking for any recommendations to source a new wiring harness (front at least) for my 47 Super Clipper.

The current wiring is turning to dust.

Thanks
Lyndon

Harnesses Unlimited is a well-respected source which I can personally recommend, though there are others as well. You can buy direct from one of the regions of The Packard Club as well. These are a match to the OEM except for modern plastic insulation hidden beneath the correct cloth loom in correct colors. Extremely good installation instructions. Partial harnesses are available as well.

I bought the harness from Rhode island Wire for my 1947 Super Clipper. It was an exact fit and I was very pleased so I highly recommend this company.

G'day Lyndon,

Closer to home there's Vintage Wiring Harness at Ringwood, Victoria. They made the harness for my '41 120 OD Coupe when I replaced it back in 2008. As well they have done other Packards including Noel's '39 120 Sedan when his harness was damaged by fire. I'm well pleased with the results of mine. They have a list of cars on their Website they have done harnesses for but among the Packards I don't see a '47 Super. However if you send Paul your old harness, and a wiring diagram, and if you want extra wires included, he will use that as a pattern and make it to your requirements.

Plus if, by chance, you're going to the Bendigo Swap Meet this weekend I'm sure Paul will be there.
