The bumper jack was packaged in a cardboard box. The box is pictured in the Shaub & Reedy book on Packard jacks.

O, Jack in the Box!
I don't think I could remove my rear wheels using a bumper jack. I'm sure my original jack was replaced before 1959, because I've always had a screw jack and a very long crank (collapsable, folds in half) that works by jacking up the frame forward of the rear springs. I have to get the wheel off and the fender up pretty high to withdraw it. Besides the risk of messing up a chrome bumper there's all the stress on the brackets. A bumper jack, really? I think TWB is doing the same as I - auto came with a bumper jack in a box. I want to show that when my trunk is open.
I will never use it, but it should be there.

JoeSantana, your 1940 is a senior car is it not? They came with an axle jack, at least that what's in the Reedy & Shaub book on Packard jacks.

The Packard pre war jacks came wrapped in a Jack Bag. The post war jacks were in the card board box. The 1940,s 110 and 120's did come with a bumper jack. It was only used one year and only by Packard. It's real nice to have, however I would not use it on my bumper. These jacks are rare. The Senior 40's came with the small green screw jack and were also wrapped in the jack bag. A few repo bags and the jack boxes will be for sale at the All Packard Indoor Meet in Frederick. The Bags are no longer produced...

Recently was able to find the Packard screw jack pictured, for my 1940-180. Have been unable, however, to find the crank handle. Does anyone know of a source for crank handle that will fit into the slot on this Packard jack? Thanks

Thanks to all who have replied. It is always good to broaden my Packard knowledge. Mine is a 1940 120 Deluxe Club Coupe and indeed it does have a bumper jack, by alas no bag. I am in the UK, so unlikely to find one easily. If anybody has one I would be interested. And yes it is just for show, I wouldn't even think about using it.

I suspect that by the time these cars hit their 3rd and 4th owners the bags were pretty much history, and I don't recall that they were ever reproduced. Here's the best (and only) picture I have of one; you might think about making something similar yourself.
