Here are some pictures of the heat shield and mounting bracket for a 22nd - 23rd Series Custom 8. The 21st Series should be similar except does not need the U shaped cutout on the back which is for the vacuum line to the wipers.

WOW! What a great bunch of Packard enthusiasts! Thanks for all the help. It appears that the shield is definitely for a later car. I will have to make a new pump to carb gasline or bend the one on the carb to go around the shield. With help of the pictures I can easily fab up an L bracket and make it presentable if not exactly the correct model unless I get invited to bring the car to Pebble Beach.

Your 356 engine should also have a carburetor heat shield, do you have that one?

I do. Does it look correct for my 25th series 327 1952 Packard 300 2502-2572? It doesn't have some of the cutouts of the earlier photos.

Carl, The one I bought is correct for the 51-54 327 as pictures posted by Kev seem to indicate. I PM'd you about it.

Thanks for the e-Bay tip Clipper 47. I just bought the heat shield for my 48 Custom 8 Club Sedan.
