There is no such thing as over-posting on the renovation of a unique creation such as yours.

Keep up the good work, sir.

(no one wants to see the travails I went through on my '40 110 today. I'll spare the world of it all.)

I've had a problem with a left rear brake not staying adjusted and, by proxy affecting the parking brake holding.

It looks like I have a mangled shoe anchor pin. This is the type where the anchor pin has a slot on the back side, vs something you can get a wrench on and then a lock nut. I cannot get enough leverage through the wallowed-out slot to keep it in position to tighten the lock nut.

So I think I am going to have to replace that pin. I think it's a combination of that wallowed-out slot and mangled threads.

If anyone has an extra anchor pin or backing plate laying around that they would like to sell, please let me know.

I can see why they eventually move away from the slotted pin.

I think the part number listed in the Parts Manual is GRP 1.405 - 315937 - PIN Shoe Anchor - 115C-1600

Not sure what the difference is between group 1.404 and 1.405.

120c is listed in 1.404 and the 115c is listed in 1.405. 1.404 is not shown on the parts diagram. So I dunno.

Gary Kulp has the part I need and is forwarding it to me. So hopefully, that resolves the issue I am having.

Kev, I made this brake anchor tool when I was working on the brakes of the 47 Custom. Maybe something like this will work on your 37? The other tool is to measure the axle end play. That is not needed on the 37 because it uses ball bearings instead of taper roller bearings.

Got a few tasks done last night. I made a few more adjustments to rumble seat lid. Then I mortise the wood rumble seat lid framing to accept the lock. A palm router and a chisel was needed.

I needed to shim the lock catch as it was a bit short from engaging the lock. When I removed the catch, there were two thin original fiber board shims behind the catch already. But you were pretty deteriorated from age and moisture exposure. So I made a new 1/4" spacer and that fixed the issue.

So now the Jackard has a working and locking rumble seat lid.

A picture I forgot to post from the Geneva Cruise Night last week. 5 mins later, this entire parking lot was full.

Here you can see the '37 with the front bumper and license plate installed. I even have the bumperettes pointing the correct way!
