At this low, low museum to you price, you can hardly expect pictures taken with an actual working camera.....

I hope they get the asking price. As they say: A rising tide ...

ok I give up. When I was a kid, 51-54 Packard engines were gray. Seems like a car this nicely restored would have managed to get the engine color right. Pretty car, just looks a tad over priced to me.

I would say that car is $15,000 too high in price, and agreed, engine color is incorrect.

I would say Kevin is right on the money. As to the engine, at least its a Packard color.I have seen them painted with some strange colors over the years.

Actually, just for the sake of discussion, I would disagree. I have seen the car in person, and it is fabulous. Way better then when Packard built it. My point is, considering the cost and effort to bring a car, any car, to this level puts it right out there at the top end in terms of quality, differentiating it from the vast vast majority of mediocre Clippers out there. I doubt there would be any argument as to the cost to restore this car to the level it is at, so what is it worth? Well, maybe there is a person who is looking for just this car, in just this condition - I think most of us, if not all of us, would agree that if that were the case, the price is, well, reasonable.

Flackmater, without quibbling over a few thousand dollars I tend to agree that it's a truly exceptional vehicle - just take note of the AACA awards. It takes a really oustanding vehicle (engine color aside) to garner them.

Be interesting to know the dynamics behind the offering.

As I noted, I don't take it very seriously because the picture quality is abysmal.

Is this somehow the museum version of "Yes dear, I'm really trying to sell it."
