The seller calls this a '48 Super 8 limousine. Looks like a Custom 8 limousine to me, not a Super. And wasn't the lower-level Super 8 called a 7-passenger sedan, not a limo? I should read Robert Neal's book sitting right here next to me about it but wondering if someone has it on the tip of their brain.

Can someone tell me?

Its a Custom Eight Limo.You will need very deep pockets to bring that car back.Lots of nice spare parts for Custom eight owners.Parts are worth the price of the car.

Looks like a 2251 [7 Passenger Custom Eight Sedan]. If everything is still there under the hood, then yeah, it's probably worth the price in parts, but depending on transportation costs it might be a close call.

Really scare, only 231 built as 1948 22nd series, and 49 and 1949 22nd series. Those #s are combined between the limousine and the 7-pass sedan (w/o divider). I only see 1 2251 listed in the PAC directory which may be the one used in the film Dr. Zhivago.

There is one very similar to it just up the street here in Billings, sitting in a guy's back yard. Same old story, "I'm going to fix it up one of these days"......
