Steele sells 1/4 and 3/16 welt in there listing for my 33 1003. Would I be correct in selecting the 1/4 as being more correct for the car? Thanks Dell

The welting on my '34 is a mix of original and replacement; I don't recall what I bought as a replacement but I'll try to get some meaningful measurements for you tomorrow.

Nope. You want the 3/16. The 1/4 inch is used when you need to fill gaps on cars that started out rough.

What changes 80+ years might have made to the OEM material is unknown but I got measurements mostly around 0.202" or so, so much closer to 3/16 than 1/4".

Just cked a piece of orig/used/GREEN i have that came off a '34 sedan. .330 DIA. All the orig welting ive seen has the same color as the matting metal paint. Believe the parts book asks u to spec the color. Piece i have is full color. Guessing PACKARD ordered it from their Vendor in all their standard colors.
