Just back from Kenya and before a raft of dead Packards arrive at the door thought I would close up the other side of the car. Will finish the welding today if the mood strikes. The only daunting task remaining is to extend the panel in front of the deck lid to meet the base of the convertible top.

Spent a very pleasant rainy afternoon making and installing the panel from the decklid to the tack rail for the top.

This is the last major exterior panel and it went quite well so y'all missed seeing me do the happy dance. I still need to do a bit of fiddling at the corners where the quarter panels were leaded to the main body but 8PM is not a good time for fine work.

The proportions of the sectioned body are most attractive.

Have you all been following the build in Oz of the 39 Packard in the H.A.M.B. section of the Jalopy Journal? That is one build to admire too.
