51-56 all used the same tank. So see if you can find a doner car in one of the local junkyards. Since you are also in So. Cal, try giving Memory Lane a call up in Sun Land.

hahaha Memory lane is where I bought my packard. No tank though, not too many packards lying around.

I have one out of a '51, not coated but all there, no serious rust and with no holes in it. It is not presently in Orlando but, if you cannot get one anywhere else and need it, let me know.

Kanter has reconditioned gas tanks, but they will cost you more than a 5-karat diamond ring. Sometimes there is no cheap way out of a Packard restoration. I'm learning that rather quickly. Your Packard is worth it.
