Here is a Merry Christmas from the
1941 Clipper Assembly Line.

Curious, what's the source of that photo?

Ahh, I see art from a couple of my friends here--Stella Prytek-Blond did the Santa in a bath tub convert. card and Angela Trotta-Thomas did the '40 180. Angela has created a series of "slice of life" pictures of childrena nd Lionel trains, my old boss was/is a big supporter of her art.
she and Husband Bob are great people.

Push Button: My wife upon reading your post in this thread
about the the Christmas Card by Stella Blond, took my wife very much by surprise.

My wife reminded me of a conversation that she and Stella had when they came to our house after visiting Brad.
Wife stated that after Stella had seen some of the art work hanging in our house that my father in-law had done. Stella commented that a friend of her who was an artist, had done a painting of Santa riding in a Packard bathtub coming down a snow covered lane at Christmas.

That Christmas time Brad, myself, and my wife received a Christmas card from the Blonds which I scanned and posted to start this thread. My wife and I have always been under the impression that the idea and art work was done by a friend of Stella's.

John, you are probably right, I know that Stella is an artist of some type (there are many areas of speciality) I know that she "caused that art to come into being" e.g. had the artist create it.

Re: 41 line.

Why do the bumpers on those cars look so dull compared to the rest of the bright work on he car????

Line protection covers????? I doubt it. Can the season or date of picture be determined more than just 1941????

I present to you my favorite Christmas Movie of all time.

"Santa Conquers the Martians"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxnOYfQiyt4

A Classic 1964 "B" movie that ranks right up there with "Plan 9 from Outer Space". A movie so bad, thats it's good. Staring a Pia Zadora as a young child. I watched this every year on the Family Film Festival hosted by Tom Hatten when I was a kid.

I was lucky enough to find the entire movie online via YouTube. Enjoy the cheesy goodness that is this movie.
