Starter solenoid--stud length

Does anyone know the negative (-) stud length for the starter solenoid on a 22nd series convertible? I had the started rebuilt, and had a new solenoid put on. Now the battery terminal, hydraulic pump terminal and ignition terminal won't all fit on the stud. Would like to compare the stud length
for an original equipment solenoid versus what was installed during the rebuild.

Oh, maybe so long as 3/4" from the jam nut on out. I'm wondering if you have an extra thick battery cable end as solenoids seem to be all the same. If yours is short, then get a Napa ST-63.

If you have an Autolite Gear reduction starter and solenoid as used on the 356 engine, the battery stud has almost 1" threaded length usable for cables after the inner nut holding stud to the solenoid is tightened. The motor side stud length has about 1/2" usable. I have no idea how readily available new individual studs are for that solenoid or what replacement options might be available.

It's a Delco system. I'll check out the NAPA ST-63. Thanks.

One "fix" might be to make an extension bracket out of brass that would allow for additional wiring for battery powered devices to be connected. It would be a couple of inches long with two holes with one to connect to the solenoid and the other to fasten additional wiring. A simple fix and inexpensive, but not the most elegant. Just a suggestion. JWL
