Any of you guys out there know if the plastic insert in a '49' Egyptian hood ornament can be removed to renew the gold in the middle? I'm finding them for sale at swap meets and on line, but they all seem to have the gold in the medallion missing.
I've got a cormorant and a "Boy With a Donut ", but would like to have all three.

I found one on eBay for my '50 Packard, Not perfect but pretty good. Suggest keep looking.
