This is the large heat shield that protects the front Dual Quad Carb from heat and radiator fan air.

Typically used on the Carribeans.

This is a reproduction, power-coated part which may have minor scratches from shelfware.

Make me an offer!

Is there a photo that shows how and where this is attached? I cannot seem to find any.

West, it's been shown in photos here many times, I'll look again but someone else will probably beat me to it. It mounts to the valve valley cover at the front of the engine and closes off much of the open space between it and the base of the intake manifold to prevent the fan blast from over-cooling the intake manifold and hence the air/fuel mixture.

I am sure there is one on Patrick's car at the shop for reference.

I believe I am incorrect, and this is the side/rear heat shield.

You can see it in this picture posted by Randy a few years ago. Here it was painted engine color and he added some rubber anti-rattle strips to it.

I am sure someone probably has a better picture of it somewhere in situ.

I lent the original front shield from my HT to Randy some years ago to use as a pattern to make one for his car. He cut scraps from one of his old leather belt to replicate the original anti-rattle feature.

Also, if you check the parts book, you will find the two front bolt for the valley pan are slightly longer to accommodate this shield.
