I have a dual action fuel pump on my std. 8 sedan that also pumps vacuum. How hard is it to rebuild? Also who would have a rebuild it for it?
Thanks!

There are other folks who make rebuild kits and/or rebuild fuel pumps, but both Max Merrit:

Part# 98730, fuel pump rebuild kit, double-action
fuel pump rebuild kit, double action, Max Merrit

and Kanter and Max both offer rebuilt fuel pumps on an exchange basis.

Best to call either to make sure you are getting the correct part.

I just tried to call both suppliers and could not get through by phone to either of them. Kanter isn’t taking calls today, Max Merritt didn’t answer the phone, and I
Tried to order from supplier Then and Now but they can’t process an online order unless I set up an account and log in, which seems unnecessary unless they provide some sort of wholesale supply. Very frustrated with trying to get the parts I need for my fuel pump.🙁

At Merritt, Chris is running it by himself as Fred is away so just keep trying! I typically buy kits elsewhere anyway but can't recall offhand where. Just be sure you have the number off the flange before ordering as there were variations.

Beauty of a shot Don, was that during the most recent eclipse? You had a good location for that one in 2017

I think you meant Doc and it is a beautiful photo but in any event, for the 2017 eclipse, it was in totality here at my Oregon shop but just a few miles away in town it was not. We drove for a change and fortunately we got here a couple days before as the roads were clogged and no petrol to be found the day before!
