Will PM Stephen about re-posting it in this Forum. [stephenmajors]: I am rebuilding a '53, 288 ci and I would like to change the rope rear main seal to a neoprene seal if possible. I am looking for someone that has done this. I have the engine at a good machine shop that is willing and capable of making changes to the block and rear main cap if given a proven method. The only thing I do is add a bit of rtv gasket sealer to the ends of the rope. Works fine. Posted on: 2009/5/22 19:20
