Can anyone tell me definitively what the striping on my car should be? I know the double stripe from the spear down the length of the car. I also know what the two double lines on the wheels should be.

But, I have seen cars with and without striping around the hood louvers.

Looking at all of the various sales brochures for 1937 isn’t much help as it is nearly impossible to tell if I’m seeing a stripe or just a reflection on along the top edge of the bump out for the hood louvers. I’m leaning toward it just being a reflection.




Anyway, I’ve come across pictures of restored cars with a lot of variations. Some have no stripes near the louvers, some have a single stripe just above the louvers, and some have a single stripe above and a single stripe below the louvers

I posted it here because not everyone looks at individual blogs. So yes, in my opinion, there was a need to get it to a more general forum.

Also, in individual blogs, it can easily be “lost” as it is no longer readily visible once it falls off the “recent forum topics” list. I know I don’t necessarily check in on everyone’s blog, but I do check in on the questions that have been posted in the general forums.

Don B: I concur...I would not have seen this on your blog...too many things fly by at the speed of light and too little time in our lives to notice them...a targeted Posting title did get my attention.

I have some Senior Twelve photos of pinstriping but I am not expert enough on a 120 to answer your questions.
