Thanks for posting. Hope you can also enjoy the vintage photo attached. The "Papa" car looks like a 901, with disteel wheels no less.

Not sure which part of the Montana midget suffered the most indignity. The Studebaker the lights appear to have been taken from or the Packard whose status & station (& grill position) were so lowered--or whatever it was that was so changed..

Almost looks like a chopped up Nash Metropolitan.

I'd still like to know what car that thing was made from. Perhaps a sectioned and channeled 51 - 54 Packard???? Those headlites with the top marker really throw me.

HH56 mentioned Studebaker. What year would that be???? One of the bullet nosed Studebakers???

Thinking lights 48-9 Champion but the body had some custom work for the parking lens followthru on the fender top. Maybe a Metropolitan but also maybe a narrowed Stude front clip.

The original car might have been a Playboy.

Not sure if the Packard Midget in question was another Ed Macauley creation for his wife like this one covered in this article from the Feb 1977 issues of Car Classics (from the Dan Yocum collection) . PDF version is attached for easier reading.

I am actually surprised there were no comments on this and whether it's actually connected to the junkyard Packard Midget. Or perhaps the Junkyard Midget was inspired by the Crosley or something.
