I've seen so many cars (and not just Packards) that have been hacked up and ruined as the result of misguided and even aborted kustomization attempts, that I rarely look at them any more.

However, you have not only taken this project to its completion but turned a run-of the-mill four-door sedan into a gorgeous custom coupe. I especially like the rake of the B-pillar - reminiscent of Packard's club sedans (aka - sedanettes, coupes) from 42-50.

Now, scrub them wide whites up, and let's see how many more ladies the car attracts.

Thanks also for documenting the extent of the work required with some telling photos. Hopefully, that will help others make a sound decision on whether or not to take on such a project (and not waste another car).

Your custom Packard looks quite nice posed in front of the USS Edson (DD-946). I joined the crew of my first ship (USS Gregory DD-802) in Portland, Oregon in June 1963 when it was there for the Rose Festival. The Edson was there too. Glad to see she has survived.
