Im sure some of you keep track of your fuel consumption. What gets the best. Large or small displacement, high or low compression, inline or V, etc.

Just asking questions

My 56 Caribbean averaged about just under 15 mpg for 600+ miles to Gettysburg, local touring, and back to northern New Jersey, mostly Interstate speeds.

My 55 Clipper with the 352 V8 and the Chrysler 727 transmision, gets about 13 mpg. I drive a lot around town and in Jan 10 drove it round trip from Phoenix to LA for the Nat'l membership meet and still got about 13 mpg.

I figure that my '47 Super Clipper got about 15mpg on a U.S. gallon yesterday during a 100mile trip mostly highway at between 55-60 mph.

More consensus here.
About 14-15 mpg for my 41 Clipper at about 50-55 mph on highway.

For the first time in about a year, our '41 Clipper rolled out the garage on its own power with a brand new R-11 OD tranny under the hump (more on that later). I'm hoping to improve on the 15 mpg we'd been getting on tours. Our '52 Mayfair with Ultramatic gets about 15 also.
