What kind of phone is it? Most phones use the charging port as a USB connection port.

Ah, I shall try that. It's a pretty standard phone, a Verizon "Convoy" (Mil Spec supposedly hee hee) and it has a USB charging port. Now all I need is a male-to-male USB patch cord, which is probably lying around here somewhere, and I can try it. I wouldn't have dared without some assistance. Plug my computer into the friggin' charging port? Yikes!

I'm just going by the old rule: "If all else fails, read the instructions."

After reading a little bit on the Samsung Convoy, it looks like it should mount up like a USB drive as soon as you plug it in to your computer.

And here's the cord for it if you don't have one already:http://www.igonemobile.com/product|p|21911.html

Turbo,

Well, I got the cable thingy, but it wouldn't upload directly to my computer. I had to send the photo to some cockeyed Verizon "Photo Album" and then copy the screen image of the photo to my desktop. Hinky, but it worked. I just wonder what I ended up buying?

BUT NOW IT CAN BE SHOWN!!!

The one, the only, '57 Packardbaker Clipper wagon dash WITH SENIOR GAUGES!!! I am NOT CRAZY!!!

Not much happening on the Studebaker forum, so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to give another look at that dash from the '57 Clipper I found, and give an opinion about its originality. See pic above. The temp gauge strapped to the steering column is obviously not original. I read earlier about a direct-reading gauge that would not have had an electrical hookup, but that was for the oil gauge.

Quote:
(acolds) Hawk wiring harness would create another problem as hawks have a direct reading oil gauge with tubing and hose to connect to engine oil gauge no wire for the electrical gauge used on senior Packards.

The only way to tell if the oil gauge works would be to start it up. Maybe I'll bring along a battery next spring and giver 'er a try. ((It's under about five feet of snow right now.)

No question it's a 56 senior cluster but if it came original to the car, then it is very undocumented as far as anyone has come up with and probably a pretty rare car.

Posts are only editable for one week after posting, then they are "locked in".

Thanks Ozatsman,

Here are the other pics. Exteriors, seat, "Vundabar" radio, front and left front shots. I'm sure the car will be there yet when I get my boat up there this spring, so if anybody's interested about more info, I can probably ask the storage place if they've got any. Otherwise, I'm afraid it'll just continue to sit out there and deteriorate.
